Coaching for leaders and leadership teams - Programs of The Institute for Collaborative Leadership
Collaborative leadership defined
In coaching for leaders and leadership teams, we will be your brain-trust, helping you plan, assess, and lead collaborations … strengthening your capacity – and your team’s capacity – to do collaborative leadership right.

ICL coaching supports local leaders and leadership teams of organizations and collaborations with unobtrusive and behind-the-scenes collegial conversation and mentoring. ICL coaching encourages reflection, strategic thinking, objectivity, and productive problem-solving.

Local leaders benefit from compassionate, empathic and experienced counsel informed by scholarship; more than 25 years of leadership experience in the education, government, corporate and philanthropic sectors; and countless conversations with leaders exploring their experiences of what worked, what didn't, and why.

  • At the very beginning: During the design and early start-up phases of new collaborations and organizations to ensure their successful launch

  • When cycles of strategic planning, accreditation or licensure create opportunities for engaged leaders to shape and strengthen the future of their organization/collaboration

  • When leaders or leadership teams feel pressure of internal problems and dysfunctionality coming from within their organizations/collaborations or affecting them from the outside
